Mark Heck has served his country, state and community in a variety of capacities for over 40 years that enables him to grasp the difficulties currently plaguing the Appoquinimink School Board and it's schools. As a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Instructor at Glasgow High School, he is keenly aware of the intricacies of how the community, parents, teachers and staff, administrators and school boards should interact to provide an effective education to our children. Mark Heck's 7 years as a Board Member for Dover Federal Credit Union provides him the skills necessary to get the Appo School District back on a sound financial footing.

A History of Service

Leadership with service to state and country.

An almost 35 year military career with multiple deployments has shown Mark Heck has the experience to make difficult decisions in difficult environments.  

Service to the community.

As a former board member with the largest credit union in Delaware serving as Supervisory Committee chair Mark Heck has the financial knowledge and background to assist getting the Appo School District back on a sound financial footing.

A champion for children's education

Mark Heck doesn't just talk the talk he walks the walk. As a JROTC instructor for the past 7 years at Glasgow High School he knows the problems that Teachers, adminstrators, and more importantly parents face on a daily basis for students to get a quality education.

Mark Heck files for Appoquinmink School Board  election . "I feel it is a duty to my community to utilize the skills that I have attained over the past forty years to try to enhance the educational experience for children in the district, and to correct the past financial missteps to earn back the community at larges trust."
